about

The only version of "My Friend Ringo" that I've ever heard was on "The Men Who Loved Music" by The Young Fresh Fellows. Some time in the mid '90's Charlie came to Albany, NY with The Harmony Rockets and my band at the time opened for them. In an attempt to impress Charlie we proceeded to destroy (and not in a good way) "My Friend Ringo" right in front of him and when I asked after the show what he thought of it he said "I don't remember writing that." That was Charlie being polite.
Thanks for writing, recording and playing great music Charlie. Please make some more.
